WordBanker offers two types of word categories.
| • | Standard Categories . Those words included with WordBanker. |
| • | Custom Categories . Words you create and edit yourself. |
Standard Categories
These contain the standard set of words included with your WordBanker installation. They are the kind of words you would expect to find in every day conversation.
Custom Categories
WordBanker offers three custom categories where you can add your own words. For example, if you are a nurse, there will be many words that are common in your profession but not needed in general conversation with people outside your profession. In this case you could set up one custom category as "Nursing" and add words relating only to nursing.
You can add words to both the custom and standard categories.
You can also edit standard words but you must remember that changing a words completely will mean the sound recording for that word will be wrong. If you want to change a standard word it will normally be better to delete it and then add a new word with recordings if you wish.
Delete all words in all categories.
This "Delete All Words" button shown above will delete all words in the category selected. If you want to delete all words in all categories you can do so by clicking "Tools > Delete all words in all categories". You will be asked to confirm before continuing.
This can be useful if you feel you are sure of all the words given with the original installation of WordBanker. You can delete all of them and then import lists from our web site or your own original lists. If you do this you may like to rename the categories at the same time.
