As you progress with WordBanker you will no doubt develop a method of testing that suits you but to get you started we would like to make a few suggestions.
If you are a complete beginner we recommend you do some practice sessions before you start. Try going through the first forty unbanked words to become familiar with them before starting a test. It is important to repeat the words to yourself aloud.
Multiple Choice Testing Look at the English word and try not to look at the multiple choices. If you think you know the translation, say it aloud and clearly. Then look at the multiple choices . If you are correct, the word should appear as one of the choices , in which case click on that word to get the answer. If you start to get really confident you have the option to cover the multiple choices.
If you are a complete beginner you may find this a little difficult. If so don't worry, just go through the tests and look at the multiple choices straight away. The important thing is to gain confidence. You can always reset a category and go back and try the above method later.
Hear Word After you hear the foreign word, repeat it yourself aloud. Then without looking at the choices, translate the word into English aloud. Then look at the multiple choices. If you are correct, the word should appear as one of the choices , in which case click on that word to get the answer.
Type the Answer Do the same as for the Multiple Choice (above) except type the translation as soon as you have spoken it.
