There is obviously no point in showing you the word you are required to spell so instead we use the Microsoft Text To Speech utility which does sound very robotic but generally fulfils the purpose of tell you what word to spell. IN order to use WordBanker for spelling tests you will need to install the WordBanker spelling add on that can be downloaded from the link below. This will install the basic Microsoft text to speech module and a choice of different voices.

If you are sure you already have text to speech installed on your computer from another program you will not need to install this WordBanker add-on.
To start using WordBanker for spelling click "Test Type > Spelling" from the main menu. When you start a test you will be told the word you need to spell. If you don't hear it well enough and want it repeated just click on the button marked "Play Again". The answer is not case sensitive.
You can change the voice at any time by clicking "Voices" from the menu bar in the test window. You will be shown the following window. The choice of voices you can select from will vary from computer to computer depending what software is installed on it.
